Why focus on customer service?
Studies confirm businesses focused on quality have significantly higher levels of financial and employee performance than those that do not. An emphasis on high-quality customer service has measurable impact on your business's bottom line.

What is the Excellence in Customer Service (EICS) Award?
The EICS Award is a prestigious honor recognizing superior customer service and practices. The BBB of SC Foundation presents EICS at an annual award gala attended by hundreds of southern Colorado's business and community leaders. To be considered, organizations must first complete both the EICS application and customer service program. Following these steps, a designation is granted to applicants that meet the program's high standards.

What does the program entail?
EICS is a comprehensive customer service improvement program sponsored by the BBB of SC Foundation to help businesses improve their internal practices, increase customer satisfaction and build profitable relationships to keep customers coming back.

What are the benefits?
The benefits include company development followed by marketing opportunities for award recipients. For development, your organization receives a personalized, professional assessment of your customer service process at a very reasonable cost - as low as $275, depending on the size and type of your operation. A team of independent, professional evaluators will review your application and prepare a detailed, confidential feedback report.

What assistance will I receive?
The BBB of SC has an EICS informational workshop each Fall that explains what EICS is and reviews both the application process and time lines. An application writing workshop is held later in the year. In this workshop, the trainers go through the questions, give examples and answer questions.

Should my company apply?
Yes! EICS is set up for two purposes; to acknowledge companies with proven customer service practices and to assist companies to achieve such mature customer service systems. The application process and feedback report are excellent tools to evaluate, implement and develop your current systems.
